Many of the shirts are diverse and tell many different things about teen culture. Some say we like to look good and respectful while some others say ill where what I have and don’t care what I look like. Also some show some things that they like teams, bands, and things that support our school. So I think that this shows that our culture is very diverse by what we where just like how people act in there culture or in there ethnicity.

Founds:

Economy
credit card: people in the United States think everything has to be fast and easy. A credit card is a good way to get bills or items paid quickly and easily. Nearly everybody has got one or more of them.

Religion
scientology e meter blue (scientologists use it to identify the person’s character and tell them if they are ready or able to join scientology): In the United States there is the freedom of religion. Every religion, no matter how unethically it is. They can live their beliefs.

Sports
baseball bat: Baseball is a great sport which many people in the US like, watch or play. To play it, you use this bat to hit the ball over the field. But some people could have also used this bat to hurt other people or even kill them.

Science/technology
Ipod: mp3 players are an item nearly every (younger) person has. While more and more people always and everywhere are able to listen to their music, conversations and social contacts decrease.

Education
student identity card: Even students have their own identiy card to identify everywhere and for everything. Nobody could be anonymous any more

Families:
wallet with a family picture: In times when traveling is a daily thing and families are divided for longer terms, for example business trips, a family picture is a common thing to remember his family and relatives.

Politics/government:
25$ ticket for parking on a handicapped parking slot: the Government is able to control us everywhere and is allowed to make us pay or arrest for any crime, no matter how small it is. But on the other hand people don’t take care on each other and park their cars on reserved parking slots. Handicapped people must have accepted a longer way because somebody was not payingattention or parked there on purpose.

When observing t-shirts for sociology I noticed a lot of sport shirts, which to me says that the person wearing is either in that sport or a fan of that team or sport. I also saw a John Deer shirt, several collage shirts, dressier shirts, and shirts with sayings on them. The John Deer shirt may mean that the person simply likes the shirt or they might be interested in farming. The college shirts could represent a sports team or that the person wearing it wants to go to that college. The dressier shirt meant that the person wearing it cared about their appearance. Finally the shirts with saying or phrase on them could mean a number of things depending on the phrase written on them. One shirt in particular was one that said “rock, paper, scissors, Rock always wins.” That shirt could mean that the person wearing it like to win. In all I think that the t-shirts I described show that out culture has a mix of many different people.

A lot of people wear sports shirts which shows that they like sports. They wear shirts that show what sports they have been in. Other people like to wear band shirts. It shows that they like the band and are kind of advertising them. Some people like to dress dressier while others are more relaxed. Then there are the people that wear the shirts that look like the seams will bust at any given moment. A lot of kids like to wear shirts with sayings on them. You can sort of judge a person by the shirt they're wearing.
